HOW IT WORKS
When starches (amylose) and sugars (sucrose) enter the body, they make their way to the small intestine where the lining of the intestinal wall secretes an enzyme named sucrase that is designed to split the sucrose molecule into a glucose and fructose molecule. At the same time, the enzyme Amylase, which is made in the pancreas and small intestine, goes to work to break starch down to single glucose molecules. These two actions allow the glucose to be absorbed by the small fingers of the intestinal wall called villi. This is how the glucose enters the bloodstream and the rest of our body.
When we have lots of sugar and starch in our meals, these enzymes work very fast to digest them. The problem is that this means there is a lot of blood glucose, and that is toxic to our bodies. To remove the glucose from our blood, our bodies release a hormone called insulin which tells the cells of our liver and most all the cells of our bodies, including fat cells, to open up and store the glucose. When all this happens we overwork our pancreas which can lead to diabetes, and we store a lot of excess glucose as body fat.
This is where INHIBITZ comes in. to help us in the battle against the toxic effects of too much sugar. When you take INHIBITZ just before a meal it does several amazing things.
First, the L-arabinose is naturally designed to do one thing: attract the attention of as many sucrase molecules as possible. Because L-arabinose is a natural sugar it matches up perfectly with the sucrase enzyme which thinks it has met the love of its life. Now something amazing happens. When the sucrose molecules enter the intestine it is ignored by the sucrase enzyme which prevents the glucose and fructose molecules from being separated. Because it remains as a whole sucrose molecule it cannot be absorbed by the Villi and continues its way down to the lower digestive tract.
Second, the InSea 2 dual action enzyme inhibitor acts to block more sucrose from being digested, and it also blocks the digestion of the starch by blocking the Amylase enzyme. This means that the starch is digested slower, so your blood glucose is lower. Some of the starch is also not digested, so it passes through your body to be excreted.
When the undigested sucrose and the L-arabinose reach the lower digestive tract they become prebiotics, which are foods for the gut microbiome. This means your digestion improves even more!

What is alpha cyclodextrin?
Alpha Cyclodextrin a natural non-digestible molecule derived from corn. It has the ability to form a bond with dietary fat molecules, which can allow them to be safely excreted from the body before they are absorbed. Typical dietary fibers bind to dietary fat at an average ratio of 1:1 which is very low, making them impractical as a fat binder because it would require a large amount to have any effect. Alpha Cyclodextrin binds to fat molecules at a ratio of 9:1, making it the most effective fat binder available today!

The USDA has a broad category of foods and ingredients called GRAS (Generally Regarded As Safe) which basically means the ingredient has been shown to be safe after long term use and no evidence to the contrary has been presented. Cyclodextrins are in the GRAS category and have been used for many years as additional ingredients in foods for different uses. Because they are heat stable they can be used safely in cooking to help add beneficial fiber. In this case, cyclodextrin is a fiber that can bind dietary fats and help you to exclude some extra calories from your diet.
